Scheck, Barbara
Prof. Dr. Barbara Scheck has been Assistant Professor for Social Investment at the University of Hamburg since 2012.
Her research focuses on the financing of social enterprises, impact and mission-related investing and impact measurement. Barbara Scheck holds a Diplôme de Grande Ecole and M.Sc. from the European School of Management, where she studied International Business Administration in Paris, Oxford and Berlin and a Ph. D. from Technical University Munich.
She worked in the German Diplomatic Service as well as the financial services sector before joining Allianz4Good, the CSR department of the German insurance company. In this context, she co-founded and chaired the charitable My Finance Coach Foundation, which aims at advancing financial literacy among students.
